Poor Curio.

Well now... that is interesting.

Oh, the description isn't much more than we already knew, but Curio remembers it. I had assumed that, like the others, he only remembered bits and pieces. A full memory though, means he resisted whatever they did to make him forget. Malloy told Asia that there mental barriers, but she probably hadn't made them. I think we can assume that those barriers were placed by the captors. Curio's lack of them is very interesting, but I suspect he actually does have them. They simply don't block off as much. His willpower doesn't seem high enough to have resisted from the get go and the memory was probably Int based, which he seems to have. Would fit with the general theme thus far.

Lets see... cold, frost on the grass, in a cave. It was dry. Probably Winter. We know Curio has been there for several months, so that fits the timeline. In conditions like that, you basically need magic to survive.

The fact grass was growing in a cave is interesting. I wouldn't think that enough light would get through. Perhaps some sort of mass Life spell to keep those within just barely alive? And soil... most caves don't really have soil per say, its a mix of clay, rock, sand, maybe gravel. Perhaps it was an artificial cave?

While I'm not ruling out the Hedge idea I talked about earlier, it seems less likely. None of his description was Hedge-worthy abnormal. Still odd, though.

@Mindsword2: He never said the entire cave floor was grass, just mentioned tufts of it, possibly near the entrance; the soil may well have been a mix of minerals and guano.

I wonder why Curio remembers and the others don't?

@shylarah: Moros are the threshold, living in the moments of transformation. Life to death, lead to gold... the moments of change. Is it really a surprise then, that he remembers when his world shattered? I wouldn't be surprised, either, if the woman decided to let him remember, maliciously scarring his young, innocent mind with images of torture and pain she knew would torment him forevermore.

@ChibiSilverWings: You used a version of this tune at the bridge as well... It's such a sad, lonely tune....

@burningtyger: Trish did a very nice job conveying the emotion the song is meant to have. I was thrilled when I heard it the first time, it's perfectly how we imagined it. I hope she'll have time and good spots in the comic to compose more songs for us, I think her music is awesome :D I wish we could have it all the time!

@ChibiSilverWings: It hurts. *Edit8 Listening to it with DFX enabled. Even nicer- and the laugh sounds even creepier.
