Oh, my. This is getting interesting. More factions and more characters. I wonder what their goals are.

Despite Cross being so incredibly paranoid, he doesn't seem like such a bad guy. On the other hand, this is World of Darkness, so he's probably got some skeletons in his closet, especially if he hangs out with mages.

When you talk the bad guy into a monologue …
But who are the bad guys, anyway?

I quite sympathize with Amical & Malloy at the moment. The bunch doesn’t seem half bad.

As always, the truth probably lies somewhere in between.

@Profpatsch: Malloy doesn't seem half bad apart from association with Amical, but that could be a facade. Amical, on the other hand? I don't see how you could sympathize with him after he murdered Billy, barely managed to retgone that incident but still shot Billy in the shoulder, then coerced Billy into playing a high-stakes chess game while severely wounded, and cheated to the best of his ability throughout said game. He may claim to be altruistically motivated, but his actions reveal him to be a narcissistic asshole.

@Seth: Still, he DID save the seedlings from a fate worse than death... I'm not saying he's innocent by any means, but he may be a necessary evil; nor is it likely as simple as all that.

@burningtyger: Also on the other hand, it was probably through his requests that they were gathered up in the first place. We don't know if Amical is the only customer to this supplier of potential Mages...

@Don Quixotes: Supplier? How cynical; I thought they were rescued. You'd make a good Mastigos. BTW did you notice "Emily" has a gap between her two front teeth?

@burningtyger: It may be cynical, but Don Quixotes didn't use it without canon precedent. Check #279 - Vivid Memory. Amical himself used the term 'supplier'.
