Is there a limit in the number of spell per day?

And this tells(confirms?) that even with the skillboost, amical is still far inferior to billy
(losing several game in a row, despite insight on his adversory)

@W.: Spells per day, no.

I don't know nWoD Mage nearly as well as I do oWoD mage, but in oWoD there was a limit on Time in terms of difficulty. Every time you try to alter the same time period it gets harder and harder until you can't possibly succeed anymore. That being said, my guesses about this house means he likely can cast the spell far more often than he could anywhere else. However, this does mean he has a limited amount of time to work with. Eventually he will have to play the game.

Of course, if he can catch Billy's queen even once he may have won it.

winning the queen doesnt really win the game.
Against a master (it is true even against just good amater) there will be no straight error. And an exposed queen would be protected by a menace elsewhere.

In addition, in short timed match, material advantage means even less, and 'rush' strategy can work.

As a few people said, there's not actually a spells per day limit like a D&D situation. Most powerful spells cost mana and mana is limited. A mage gains a number of mana per day, and can restore mana with various things, tass being one of them.

This is gonna get mentioned in comic too. WoD knowledge isn't required to read this so we try to make sure we let these rules filter in and get explained over time.

Amical's big problem is that when facing a grandmaster, even the ability to undo moves isn't going to help you very much. Unless you are very good already, it can be incredibly difficult to look back over the game and see exactly what move it was that you should have changed. Sure, you can take back the obvious blunders, but a grandmaster game is a series of gaining small advantages, not a single move that swings the game in your favor. Not usually, at least.

@Voidwolf: Yeah, if he hadn't had a skill boost, it wouldn't even matter how many times he restated really, because Billy would simply see things Amical couldn't every time from the vast skill gap.

I'm having a bit more trouble seeing how they get to this mid game. I It always seems like black is missing a move in there somewhere. The best I can see it is from the previous picture the game progressed:
9. g4 Nd7
10. a3 Ndc5
11. Bxc5 dxc5
12. Nd2 Then here's the move that black seems to miss
13. h4

I suppose I can make it work with this series of moves, but they seem odd. However, even GMs do odd things in blitz games.
